QUE EQUIPAZO TENIA ARGENTINA... HOUSEMAN Y BABINGTON DOS GENIOS
Un partido en el que Argentina fue superior a Italia pero encontró la forma de concretar el dominio en el juego. Una bolea de Ayala desde fuera del área que Zoff desvió en el ángulo derecho y otro tiro de Ayala que patea defectuosamente estando solo frente al arquero pudieron haber dado a Argentina el merecido triunfo.

Un match assez fermé dans lequel les Italiens procèdent par contre-attaques. Mazzola manque toutefois le but de la victoire en seconde période. Le match de Rivera est indigne de ce joueur. Les lignes de jeu sont bien poudreuses et Zoff joue sans gants. Quant à la réalisation allemande, elle est limite avec le ralenti du but italien seulement en fin de match.
Always a great game.Argentina better on 1st half, Italy better on 2nd half. A constellation of great players, like Kempes, Rivera...but the names of this match were Mazzola & Houseman. The football of both a little conservative in my opinion. In WC 78 both teams had a superior squad.

Muy buen partido de Babington, Houseman y Heredia. Italia jugo al Catenaccio incluso cuando iba perdiendo, pero con solamente adelantar un poco al equipo y sumar gente en la mitad de la cancha le alcanzo para dominar el partido. En el segundo tiempo se jugo mejor, con Argentina jugado a ganar e Italia a lo que le gustaba, salir de contra con los espacios abiertos. El gol de Argentina demuestra cual es la manera de romper un defensa italiana en aquella época: talento individual. De otra manera no fue posible.

Que gran zurda tenia Babington!!! Fue a la liga colombiana ya en sus últimos días de su carrera y todavía seguía conservando esa gran técnica.
